London

Wendy and I and both of our children were born here in London. Although I moved away in first grade to North Bay and then through high school and college in Toronto, I ended up back here in 1968. Here I met Wendy, married and after a few moves ended up here in our present house. The pictures I post here are all from around our home and our home town, London, Ontario.

"Get Real!"

Please come over for a swim some hot summer day!

I keep the water at 30 C (over 80 F) for maximum enjoyment of the salt pool.

Inside or out, the pool is the focal point of the back yard with the golf course in the distance.

Ducks occasionally visit for a swim.

Abundant sunshine but also lots of shady places to enjoy the summer outdoors.

View from the golf course.

"All Aboard!"
The Grand Trunk Railroad Station was on York Street in London where the present CNR/VIA station is located. Inspired by an early 20th Century post card.

POST CARD "Foot of Dundas"
Entitled "Foot of Dundas" this work shows the old jail in the background and a steam launch at the "forks of the Thames" landing.  The blockhouse-like buildings that have the people in front of them housed, I believe, pumping equipment for the city water system. This work was inspired by an early 1900's post card (pre-1923) and therefore the original image is free of copyrights. My version however is copyright 2012.
